The Childhood Lead Action Project will hold its annual gathering to benefit its work to eliminate childhood lead poisoning in Rhode Island on Thursday, Nov. 14.

PAWTUCKET – The Childhood Lead Action Project will be holding its annual gathering on Thursday evening, Nov. 14, “Strike Out Lead Poisoning,” to benefit its work to eliminate childhood lead poisoning in Rhode Island.

The event will also honor the community members who have been strong advocates to protect Rhode Island children from lead poisoning, a preventable affliction.

The 2019 honorees include: Sen. Jack Reed, Maria Cristina Betancur, and Richard Asinof, editor and publisher of ConvergenceRI.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Hope Artiste Village, with catering provided by Amos House’s More than A Meal. The event will feature music, a raffle, and an opportunity to try out a vintage bowling alley.
